Close to half of Central Europe’s and Lithuania’s most talented young people aspire to be subject matter experts rather than managers. That is not to say that would-be experts have no leadership ambitions – almost a third of them believe that their peers would recognise their leadership qualities.

This is one finding of the Deloitte ‘First Steps into the Labour Market’ 2018 report, which describes the views on work, life and education of almost 6,000 students and recent graduates from leading universities in 14 countries across the region.
