Marku?iai will build more than 600 new apartments in Sweden in 2017

The company Marku?iai has signed contracts regarding the construction of new apartment houses in various cities in Sweden, the total value of which reaches more than EUR 30 million.

The projects are being implemented according to “design-build” model – the company is responsible for the design, manufacturing, logistics and construction of building structures applying the building information modelling BIM principle.

Some of the apartment houses stand out by the unique concrete façade finish for which matrix surfaces, various graphic images and coloured concrete is used. Wall plates with the chosen outer layer of concrete finish and other building structures necessary for the project implementation according to architects’ ideas and customers’ wishes will be manufactured in factories of the company Marku?iai in Lithuania and will be transported to Sweden from Lithuanian and Latvian seaports.

The negotiations regarding the projects lasted for almost a year. The favourable decision was accepted taking into regard the price as well as the experience gathered by the company in Scandinavian markets while implementing projects of “design-build” type.

The construction volume of the company Marku?iai reached more than 40 thousand sq.m in one of the biggest apartment house projects implemented in Jönköping, Sweden in 2016. The customer was satisfied with the quality and speed of the construction works and this determined the further cooperation – the construction volume planned this year will increase to 60 thousand sq.m of residential area.
