Who we are and what we do… 

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania is a non-profit, member-based networking organization located in Vilnius. Our primary goal is to represent and unite Swedish and international companies operating in Lithuania while serving the interest of our members. Today, we unite more than 100 companies representing a broad range of industries. 

Annually, we organize various events on business related topics, international conferences, networking activities, as well as traditional Swedish cultural events. We also provide mediation of contacts to companies looking to expand their operations in Sweden or Lithuania, as well as advisory and consulting services. 

We are currently have an internship position availiable at Swedish Chamber for a recent graduate or student who is interested in trade promotions and communications.

What you will do: 

  • Social media & marketing strategy. Driving engagement and maintaining a consistent online presence, while looking at analytics to determine which content should be premiered. 
  • Event planning. Handling both more overarching strategic tasks, such as concept development and topics for conferences, but also detailed logistical tasks such as venue selection, registration, and on-site management. 
  • Creating a bi-weekly newsletter. Gathering content, drafting articles, designing layouts that effectively communicates important updates, news, and information to our stakeholders.
  • Updating website in accordance with SEO strategy. Optimizing website and social media content to align with the companies Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy. 
  • Attend and lead meetings with our members. Coordinating and facilitating meetings with our member companies and potential members to ensure their needs and interests are supported. Through these meetings you will also identify opportunities for member engagement and collaboration to enhance overall member experience. 

 

You are ready if you have.. 

  • Fluency in English is required, fluency in Swedish or Lithuanian is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Either recently graduated from a bachelor’s or masters programme, or applying for an internship within your university studies.
  • A curiosity of international business and an interest in expanding and facilitating trade relations.

In terms of remuneration, there are options for funding the internship, either through the Erasmus+ Internship Programme, or the Scholarship Fund For Swedish Youth Abroad.

The length of the internship is flexible and can be discussed based on your availability. However, we encourage candidates who can commit to a longer duration, as extended internships provide a more comprehensive experience and greater opportunities for contribution to our projects.
