International Financial Law Review IFLR1000, in its supplement Women Leaders, selected and announced 300 women lawyers from many jurisdictions, who are recognized to be the best in their markets or relevant practice areas. Eugenija Sutkienė, Managing Partner of the Lithuanian office of TGS Baltic was honoured among them.
All the selected women lawyers have been recognised as leading lawyers by IFLR1000 community for several years in sequence. They were selected according to strictest criteria, taking into account not only significance of their activities, but also recommendations from clients, peers at other law firms or organisations.
“The number of women lawyers in the area of legal services has been growing globally, this trend promises that women will be leaders in their practice areas more and more often and we will see them in managing positions of law firms and legal departments of various organisations more often. It has long been customary to see men in this field, it is really good that women have finally started to be appreciated, as they significantly contribute to legislation and improvement of legal services in the Baltic States and the world”, the founder and the Managing Partner of TGS Baltic Eugenija Sutkienė said.
In 2017, Eugenija Sutkienė won two significant awards: she was recognised as the European Managing Partner of the Year by The Lawyer European Awards 2017 organised by the United Kingdom legal journal The Lawyer, which is among the most significant in the world; she was also titled as the Market Maker for Lithuania 2018. The latter award was given to Eugenija Sutkienė by the prestigious legal publication in the Central and Eastern Europe CEE Legal Matters for her life-long accomplishments, creating the modern market of legal services in Lithuania. These awards are truly well-deserved with regard to feedback and acclaims in the international legal services market.
