The national Christmas of Books campaign initiated by President Dalia Grybauskaitė has started its seventh successive journey across the country. The campaign was launched as a public action to donate new popular books to public and school libraries and to make them available for all book lovers. In the last six years, 225 thousand books were donated to the libraries of Lithuania.

This year, we invite to donate books to YOUR library and we call on all families to go and visit the nearest local library together with their parents, brothers and sisters, kids and grandkids. The campaign will run until January 6 inviting everyone to donate new books to public and school libraries.

The campaign encourages to communicate and to share books with those who need them the most. We believe that books are for all – from the very young to the very old – to read and listen to, to love and care for.

How you can join the campaign:  (1) to donate books to the library you have chosen; (2) to inform Campaign Coordinator about the donation (important!).
